120A Anderson Plug – Genuine TYCAB Cable – Genuine Narva 200A Relay

Professionally made heavy-duty caravan charging kit designed to provide an ignition-switched power supply from your vehicle battery to the rear Anderson connection.

Unlike a constant-power Anderson setup, this kit uses a Genuine Narva 200 Amp heavy-duty relay so the main Anderson power supply is switched with the vehicle ignition.

When the ignition is switched ON, the relay activates and supplies power to the rear Anderson connection.

When the ignition is switched OFF, the relay disconnects the power supply to the rear Anderson plug.

This helps prevent your caravan or connected equipment from continuing to draw power from your vehicle’s starting battery when the vehicle is switched off.

HEAVY DUTY 3 B&S FULL-LENGTH CABLE RUN

This kit uses Genuine Australian Made TYCAB 3 B&S cable for the main power circuit.

Importantly, BOTH the positive and negative cables run the complete length of the vehicle.

You receive:

7 metres of 3 B&S RED positive cable

7 metres of 3 B&S BLACK negative cable

That’s 14 metres total of heavy-duty 3 B&S cable.

The negative does NOT simply terminate to the vehicle chassis at the rear.

Both the positive and negative cables run from the battery area at the front of the vehicle all the way to the rear Anderson connection, providing a dedicated heavy-duty positive and negative circuit.

The relay allows the high-current Anderson circuit to be controlled by a low-current ignition trigger.

IGNITION SWITCHED – WHY USE IT?

An ignition-switched Anderson circuit is particularly useful for caravan charging applications.

With a constant-power system, the rear Anderson plug remains connected directly to the starting battery even when the vehicle is switched off.

With this ignition-controlled kit, the heavy-duty relay disconnects the Anderson power supply when the ignition is switched off.

This can help prevent the caravan or connected equipment from accidentally discharging your vehicle’s starting battery while parked.

IGNITION FUSE TAP INCLUDED

The relay requires a suitable ignition-switched 12V trigger source from the vehicle.

We include the two most commonly used fuse tap sizes with the kit to make connection to a suitable ignition-switched fuse circuit easier on many vehicles.

PLEASE NOTE:Vehicle fuse boxes vary considerably between makes and models.

The two most common fuse tap types are supplied; however, if your particular vehicle uses a different fuse type, you will need to source the appropriate fuse tap separately.

The installer must identify and confirm a suitable ignition-switched circuit for the individual vehicle.

120 AMP ANDERSON CONNECTION

The kit includes a heavy-duty 120 Amp Anderson connection, making it ideal for modern caravan and touring applications requiring a larger power connection.

A protective flip-down cover is also supplied to help protect the Anderson connection when the caravan is disconnected.

HOW IT WORKS

IGNITION ON:
Narva relay activates → rear Anderson plug receives power.

IGNITION OFF:
Narva relay releases → power to the rear Anderson plug is disconnected.

Simple, reliable ignition-controlled operation without relying on the user to manually disconnect the Anderson circuit.

IMPORTANT INSTALLATION INFORMATION

This is a high-current automotive electrical kit and should be installed by a suitably qualified person.

The installer is responsible for identifying a suitable ignition-switched trigger circuit and ensuring all connections, cable routing, protection and termination are appropriate for the particular vehicle.

Two commonly used fuse taps are included. If neither suits your vehicle’s fuse box, the correct fuse tap will need to be sourced separately.
