The Forgotten Filter 🫢

It’s small, it’s hidden, and it’s breathing for you — but most people don’t even know it exists. We’re talking about the cabin (or pollen) filter.

This little guy quietly filters all the air coming into your car’s cabin through the heater and aircon. Over time, it gets clogged with dust, leaves, pollen, and the occasional “mystery fluff” — and when that happens, your aircon works harder, airflow drops, and that nice fresh-air smell turns… not so fresh.

We often see cabin filters in services that look like they’ve been there since the car rolled out of the factory. Replacing them is quick, cheap, and can instantly improve airflow and air quality. So next time your aircon seems weak or smells a bit off, it might not be the gas — it could be the forgotten filter asking for retirement. article
