Blinkers Flashing like they are on red bull?

Under the Bonnet Tech Tips

Done a tray swap, added a canopy, or upgraded to LED indicators on your ute… and now your blinkers are flashing like they’re on Red Bull?

That’s called hyperflashing — and it happens because LED lights draw way less power than traditional incandescent bulbs. Your vehicle thinks a bulb’s blown, so it speeds up the flash rate to alert you.

While LEDs are great — they’re brighter, last longer, and give you crisp light patterns — their low power draw means no load on the indicator circuit. The fix? Load resistors. These little guys simulate the load of a standard bulb, tricking the flasher can into behaving normally again.

So if you’ve upgraded your bullbar, taillights, or indicators and now everything’s going double-time, a load resistor kit might be just what you need.
