Portable Electric Brake Controller

You have probably seen other portable brake controller units and thought what is the difference between ours and theirs?

This product is perfect for if you are hiring a van, borrowing a family members van or even if you need to hire an excavator and don’t want something constantly in the car! We have designed our kit to be as user friendly as possible, with Narva trailer plugs for ease of connection as well as a Narva high quality Accessory plug.

Connection of the electric brake unit is very simple for those who have never used electric brakes before, simply plug in the accessory socket, run the 6mtr of 5mm cable as required through your car to the trailer socket area, make sure you’re not having too much access cable hanging out of the boot area that it will get caught while towing your van and finally connect the sockets to their respective partners! The Braking unit can simply be placed in the center console or within easy reach of the driver (there is no need to screw this unit to your dash like other units on the market).

**** Note always make sure when using the Portable electric brake controller that there is no other accessories running off the same accessory socket, this will impair the brake controllers efficiency and may reduce the overall braking force applied to the trailer that is being towed.

If towing a dual axle trailer it is recommended that you use a 15Amp 12V accessory socket as your accessory plug in point as a MOST standard vehicle accessory points are rated at 10Amp and this will not allow you to brake at 100% braking force with more then a single axle braking system. If you do not follow this guide you risk blowing fuses and causing other electrical faults. ****
